Star Wars Day, Kitsap Regional Library
May 2013
May the Fourth be with You! To celebrate May 4th, Star Wars Day, the adult, teen, and children's librarians teamed up to create an unforgettable all-ages event. Nearly 200 people crowded into our meeting room for an afternoon of cosplay, Star Wars cookie making at the Mos Eisley Cantina, Star Wars button making, and learning about everything from droid-building to space travel to baking Wookie Cookies. We were especially thrilled to have the Manadalorian Mercs costume group come in full regalia, happy to take pictures with children or talk about their techniques with teens and adults. Teen volunteers also ran most of the booths. Everyone from infants to grandmothers is already looking forward to next year!
