Welcome!I’m Dr. Audrey Barbakoff, a passionate public library leader, author, speaker, and consultant. I believe that a public library is the heart of its community, and that community is at the heart of the library. Libraries facilitate engaged learning that becomes the foundation for shared creativity and resilience. Libraries are essential, inspirational, and fun! I apply an equity lens, human-centered design, and community-led practices to help libraries develop locally relevant, sustainable innovations that lead to more equitable, diverse, inclusive, and liberatory services.
Let's learn together how to bring your community's aspirations to life through your library. In my free time you can find me devouring sci-fi written by women and LGBTQ folks, renovating my fixer-upper, or making a giant mess in the kitchen with my toddler. |
